About
Hi, I’m Jeff and this is my blog. I’m a thirtysomething geek originally from Minneapolis, MN, now living in the Dallas, TX area. As you can see from the blog’s header, the bulk of my posts relate to:
- Tech (usually consumer/personal technology, e.g. gadgets, software, web services, etc.)
- Business (I’m working on an MBA with a Marketing/Product Management emphasis from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management)
- Food (including cooking and baking. I’m a big food geek, so I plan on focusing on hows and whys as well as equipment tips)
- Geeky Stuff (I just wanted leeway to write something geeky that wasn’t necessarily related to tech, business or food)
The most frequent piece of advice on blog writing I’ve read involves focus. Focus, focus, focus. Keep the blog focused on one specific subject. As you’ve already read, I’m breaking the cardinal rule. If you don’t want to read posts about business, please feel free to skip them. If, however, you find yourself enjoying one or more categories of posts, please subscribe to the blog’s RSS feed. If you don’t know what RSS is, you really should learn – it’s a godsend for online content consumption.
Special thanks to…
Matt Mullenweg, Ryan Boren and all of the developers who contribute time and code to WordPress, on which this blog is built. Also a big thanks to the countless number of WordPress plugin and theme developers.
Thanks for reading!
